Bri & Rob in Black & White

I photographed Bri & Rob’s wedding in the summer of 2024 and delivered their gallery with a mix of black-and-white and color pictures. But while looking back through their images after a request from their planner, Liz (https://www.lizaloret.com/), I was compelled to re-edit portions of Bri & Rob’s wedding in black-and-white and make a gallery of those images.

Black-and-white images pull us out of how we ‘normally’ see. They are, on a basic level, abstract — One step removed from how the majority of people view the world. This forces us to pay closer attention to light/shadow, shape, and emotion, as we are undistracted by color.

Bri & Rob’s day was enjoyable to revisit and reimagine with those thoughts in mind.
